I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a passion for helping people learn to live in accordance with their values. Overall, a majority of my work focuses on helping people learn new ways of relating to and coping with extreme emotions and understanding the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I believe that by combining compassion and commitment, together we can overcome the obstacles that create suffering in your life.

I am a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified DBT Clinician with over 10 years of experience providing evidenced based treatments. I earned my doctoral degree from La Salle University. Prior to graduation, I had the privilege of completing a one-year internship at Yale University in the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Intensive Outpatient Program, where I received specialized training in providing DBT to individuals with borderline personality disorder. During this time, I also completed the intensive training in DBT developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan, the founder of DBT. Following my graduation, I was granted the opportunity to complete my postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania in the Aaron T. Beck’s Psychopathology Research Center and work directly under the supervision of Dr. Beck, the founder of Cognitive Therapy. Upon completion of my postdoctoral training, I was awarded a Research Associate position to continue my work with Dr. Beck.

In 2017, I became a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified DBT Clinician. This board certification is a year-long, rigorous process, which involved multiple steps to certified that I provided adherent DBT to the standards set by the research and Dr. Linehan, the treatment developer. In addition, I have completed multiple trainings in DBT-Prolonged Exposure. In these trainings, I was trained to incorporate Prolonged Exposure, the gold standard evidenced based treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder, into a DBT framework.

In my practice, I specialized in helping adults who have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and with individuals who engage in self-harming behaviors.
